Knights Templar Medal Featuring The Serpent And Cross

Image
This is a sterling silver Knights Templar Medal with inset brass serpent draping over a cross representing the gnostic symbol of the serpent representing gnosis or widom and the cross representing salvation. Also prominent on this medal is the Knights Templar credo "IN HOC SIGNO VINCES" or "IN THIS SIGN YOU SHALL CONQUER" Gnostics believe in salvation through gnosis, the early Templars held strongly to this belief, and this symbolism was used in the 1800s by Masonic orders of Knights Templars, but is no longer in use in 2025.
